Baggage vs base fare: compare the total trip
Why the lowest base fare may not be the lowest total trip cost when baggage and fare conditions differ.
Base fare is only one number
A low headline fare can be attractive, but travellers may value different inclusions. Compare what is actually included before deciding.
Checked baggage can change the comparison
If one option includes baggage and another charges separately, the lower initial fare may not remain lower after extras are added.
Cabin baggage rules differ
Cabin baggage size, weight and item limits can vary. Check the final provider terms before booking.
Avoid assuming fare families are identical
Economy fares can have different change, cancellation, seat-selection and baggage conditions even on similar journeys.
Use comparison to narrow the choice
A comparison site helps you identify promising options; the provider checkout is where you should confirm the final inclusions and total.
Use live comparison when you are ready
When your route and dates are decided, use Hapofly to search current options in INR. Review the result details, then continue to the airline or travel provider you choose to complete booking.
